NRLW kicks off, State of Origin wraps up, the World Cup reaches its final stages, and the Punters Challenge Championship final is just around the corner. AFLW is on the horizon too - giving your venue programming well into November.

Here's everything that's running or launching this month, what your patrons need to know, and where to grab your marketing assets.

Starting Soon - Get Set Up Now

NRLW Tipping — Starts 2 July

Season: 2 July – 14 September 2026

The NRLW is no longer a side story to the men's competition. In 2025, the NRLW Grand Final drew over a million viewers - a 42.7% increase year-on-year.

Across the season, 12.5 million people tuned in. The women's game has a growing, dedicated fanbase, and tipping gives that audience another reason to keep coming back to your venue across the week.

How it works: Patrons tip the winner of every match each round. Each correct tip earns one point. Points accumulate across the season on the national leaderboard. If a patron misses a round, they'll be assigned the away team for up to five matches across the season — which means missing a week or two won't end their competition.

Availability: Available via terminal and the SportsPick app in-venue.

Punters Challenge — Last Chance to Qualify for the $20K Championship

Final qualifying round: Saturday 11 July | Championship Final: Saturday 18 July 2026

The Punters Challenge $20K Championship Final is a few weeks away.

The mechanic is simple: win your venue's local Punters Challenge competition any Saturday between now and 11 July, and your patrons don't just take home the weekly local prize, they can earn a spot in the $20K Championship Final on 18 July.

Patrons need a SportsPick account to enter, which they can create at the terminal or via the SportsPick app in-venue.

If you haven't been promoting the Championship angle, you can still get in, using the the $20K prize pool as a compelling reason to be at your venue on Saturdays. Or if you want to start for the new season, it starts back up on 8 August.

Prize pools: Venues set, collect and manage their own entry fees and prize pools for this competition. SportsPick funds a $20K National Prize Pool, at no additional cost to SportsPick venues.

Availability: Available via terminal only.

Global Football Championship Tipping - Starts 1 June

Competition: 1 June – 20 July 2026 | 10 rounds

The World Cup has certainly peaked the interest of the nation.

If your patrons are already tipping, they're deep into the tournament leaderboard - keep the comp front of mind as the knockout rounds reach their conclusion. With $1,000 in national prizes on offer, there's plenty to play for right through to the final.

How it works: Patrons tip winners across every match of the tournament - group stage through to the final - across 10 rounds of tipping. Each correct tip earns a point.

Cumulative totals across all 10 rounds determine the final leaderboard. With matches spanning multiple time zones, each round locks when the first match of that round kicks off - so patrons need to get their tips in early. Tipping closes 5 minutes before the first match of each round.

Availability: Available via terminal and the SportsPick app in-venue.

Each round, patrons select the winner from every match on the AFLW fixture. Points accumulate across the full season, and the tipper at the top of the national leaderboard at the end of the season wins $1,000 (with $600 for second, and $400 for third).

Getting Your Marketing In Order

All the assets you need - posters, digital displays, social content - are available through your Venue Admin portal: venueadmin.sportspick.com.au

A few things worth doing before each competition launches:

  • Put assets up before the comp opens, not the day it starts. Regulars need a week's notice. Give them something to look forward to.
  • Brief your bar staff. They'll be the ones fielding questions at the terminal. Make sure they know what's running and when.
  • Highlight the prize pool. Take advantage of SportsPick's inclusive national prize pool to attract more patrons. Patrons respond to specifics. "$500 for picking the winner of Game 1" lands differently than "prizes available."
  • Use the Punters Challenge Championship as a hook. $20K is the biggest number on the July calendar. Put it in front of your regulars before Saturday 11 July.
